Transfers All Reservations are transferable to a different litter at any time, your pick of the litter depends on current availability. Reservation payments are valid for 2 years should you decide to transfer to a future litter. If after 2 years you have decided not to reserve a puppy from any of our litters, your Reservation payment will be forfeited.
Refunds The Pre-Reservation payment for your placement on our waiting list is non-refundable unless there is a change of plans with our breeding, a failure to conceive, if we do not have your preferred gender available at birth or if puppies were to become ill and pass away. The FinalReservation payment that is due at 2 weeks of age to hold the puppy for you until 8-9 weeks of age is also non-refundable unless we do not have a puppy available for you(ex. if puppy were to become ill, pass away, not a good fit, etc). Any other possible reservation refunds are at breeder’s discretion on a case-by-case basis.
Preferred Gender Unfortunately there is no way for us to be able to guarantee that a puppy of your preferred gender will be available at birth. We could potentially have all males or all females in any given litter although the chance of that happening is low. Families that are on our waiting list have priority. We recommend applying and placing a Pre-Reservation if you would like to have a chance at an early pick of the litter.
Breeder’s Reservation Families that are on our waiting list have priority after us when we are accepting reservations. We evaluate and decide which puppies will kept back or placed at 7 weeks old. We reserve the right to pick of litter at any time and of every litter. If we choose not to keep or place any prospects from the litter than the first pet reservation on our waiting list will have the next position available.

Important, please read: Bear State Goldens reserves the right to withdraw an approved application, issue a full refund of any payments made & void contract(s); if at any time we feel that one of our puppies may not be a good match for you OR if we feel that we may not be the right breeder for you. If for any reason and at any time a puppy owner is ever unable to care for the puppy, Bear State Goldens must be notified immediately of the return of the puppy. We will always accept one of our puppies back into our home, no questions asked.
Rules of Visitations We follow the BAB protocol regarding visits. Visits are by appointment around 8 weeks old when meeting your puppy on go home day. We allow visits ONLY if you have at least one of the following: an approved application OR a reservation placed. We do NOT allow visits when we have newborn puppies or when we have a pregnant mama. Only Clients & Immediate family are welcome for the visit. Visits are limited to 1 1/2 hours max per appointment. Children under 13 years old are NOT allowed to pick up puppies or run around where the puppies are to avoid possible injuries. Puppies are to stay in their designated area only. Clients should NOT visit pet stores, pet shelters, veterinarian offices, another breeder’s home, a dog park or be around any sick dogs prior to the visit. If you have been around a sick dog please let us know before your visit. Outside dogs are NOT permitted during visits when the puppies are younger than 5 months old. We do NOT allow shoes into our home where the puppies are kept, please wear socks or bring a pair of socks with you. Please come with clean clothes and expect to be sanitized. Depending on the time of year, our visits could be outdoors or indoors. If outdoors, you will be instructed to place covers over your shoes(we will provide them). Children should have jackets or sweaters on as puppies have a tendency to jump, scratch and nibble when they play. Hair ties are recommended as puppies may bite hair. Photos & videos of the puppies are permitted. We may take videos or pictures during visitation to show how our puppies respond with visitors. We also take photos of the puppies with their new families when they leave us.We upload pictures regularly on our website, updates are sent via email to those who have placed a reservation with us & we post regularly on Instagram so that you can stay connected to see how the babies are growing and the environment that they are raised in. When it comes time to select your puppy we will reach out to schedule an appointment with you via email or by text after puppies are cleared by our vet and temperament tests are completed. By 8 weeks old, the puppy has had at least 1 vaccination to help build their immunity against deadly illnesses. This requirement is for our puppies as well as their mama’s health, protection, comfortability and safety. Our puppies are raised in the privacy of our home. Heavy foot traffic near the puppies and on our property isn't ideal due to the veryhigh risk of our puppies catching deadly illnesses & parasites that can travel innocently through clothing & shoes. Contamination risks the health of our future litters and even our fully vaccinated dogs as well. The protection of our dogs and their puppies will always come first! If this policy does not work for you.. we are not the right breeder for you. There will be no exceptions to this policy.
AKC Registration Our pet puppies are sold on Limited Registration. With limited registration; your puppy will be a companion but will still be able to compete in AKC Performance, Obedience and Agility. Showing & breeding rights may be available to an approved small program, co-ownership may apply as well as a contract requiring titling and health testing. Boarding If you are unable to pick up your puppy at 8-10 weeks of age, please let us know in advance. Once 11weeks of age, the puppy must be paid for in full and we will begin to charge a nightly rate to board your puppy(this includes food and top quality care from us). Puppies may board for no longer than 2 weeks. If you need your puppy boarded for longer than 2 weeks then we suggest buying a puppy from a future litter with better timing for you. Any vaccinations or dewormings needed while the puppy is boarded will be charged at an affordable rate. If requested, basic training will be an additional cost.
