At Bear State Goldens we are committed to building relationships and raising confident, happy, healthy, socialized AKC Golden Retrievers. We are a small home-based Breeder located in Orangevale, CA. Our mission is to selectively & carefully breed healthy, high quality, sound Golden Retrievers. We follow breed standards, fully health test, genetically health test and assess temperament before any adults are officially added to our program. Our dogs are examined by Licensed veterinarians, Orthopedic Specialists, Ophthalmologists and Cardiologists for their health clearances. We breed primarily for Conformation and Companionship however our puppies have the capability of also doing well in service or therapy work. We temperament test our puppies to have a better understanding of which puppy is best fit for each family and their lifestyle. We currently title our dogs with AKC to prove trainability and show them at International Dog Shows. Additionally, we are working towards showing at other exhibitions in the near future! All of our dogs & litters are raised and live inside the comfort of our home in a loving family environment. We do not operate as a kennel. Our dogs are family members and are treated as such!
