OPEN: This puppy or waitlist position is open and available. RESERVED: This puppy or waitlist position on our waitlist has been secured. TBD: This position on our waitlist is not available yet. Check back for updates. BSG: This puppy was kept back for our program. UNDER EVALUATION: This puppy is being evaluated and is not available at this time. Puppy could become available at a later date. Check back for updates. BACKUP WAITING LIST: This waiting list is unpaid and unconfirmed. We will contact the applicants on our backup waiting list first when we have an available official waiting list opening or if a puppy from the litter becomes available. How does the waiting list work with pet placements? We always reserve the first and sometimes the second pick of our litters to continue our breeding program. Puppies intended for show, sport, service, breeding, and therapy work are prioritized due to requiring a special temperament and structure. The pet reservations below come after us, should we decide to keep or place a puppy from the litter. If we decide to keep or place a puppy(s), it is determined after evaluations and just before puppy matching weekend(7-9 weeks old). There is no guarantee of a waiting list position, as puppies from our litters are placed into the homes that we believe are the best fit for them. A position on our waiting list can act as an ordered position for a puppy of a specific gender; however, it depends on the litter, if a final reservation is placed, and the puppies that we have available that would make a good match. Almost all of our puppies are placed as pets. They are ultimately matched to their new homes based on their temperament, gender, personality, and lifestyle. In smaller litters, the position rarely makes a difference; however, it can in larger litters with more available puppies. We take all of our clients’ preferences into consideration as we want everyone to be happy with their new puppy, since they are a lifelong commitment! When breeding, having consistency in our litter is one of our biggest goals, so often we will have puppies that are very similar in terms of temperament and personality. We will allow a client to select a puppy when there are 2+ puppies in a litter that are very similar, so long as the puppy is within our recommendation. The client is informed of each puppy’s temperament and personality just before and/or during our meetings. We reserve the final say.
