Bear State Grooming

We offer home-based grooming & boarding on a small scale, when available. We do take our time to ensure that your dog is comfortable and that the grooming work is done nicely. You must provide proof that your dog is up to date on their DHPP, Rabies & Bordetella vaccinations. Your dog must be current on Flea/Tick prevention & Worming. A recent negative fecal test prior to the appointment may be required when we have puppies. In order to book an appointment with us for the first time, you must submit a Grooming Request Form first. This is so that we can get acquainted with you & your dog prior to the appointment. Once submitted, we will work on booking your first appointment! Pricing is subject to change at any time however if you are a current client you will receive a notification in advance. We specialize in Golden Retrievers for Show & Pet grooms. If your dog needs special handling, please let us know before the grooming appointment. We will take our time and treat your pet as if they were one of our own. Our location is in Orangevale, California. Address will be sent once appointment is confirmed.

Show-Style Grooming Package

Golden Retriever Show-Style Full Groom(Bath, Blow Dry, Condition, Nail Grind & Specialized Hair Trim) : $155
For this trim, we typically keep the coat in a natural but polished condition. We do trim the tail, ears, face, paws and try to avoid other areas to preserve the dog's outline however we trim where it is necessary. Depending on the dog's coat, thinning may be necessary in some areas. Our Blow-drying method is specialized to the breed in order to help straighten the coat and allow for it to lay correctly. We have experience in both wavy & straight types of GR coats as well as European & American style GR's.
